The Designer - Azi Essie
Born in Congo and moving to France at an early age, Azi developed a keen eye for effortless chic, impeccable craftsmanship, and unbound creativity. After studying Fashion Marketing in Paris and working with emerging designers in London, she discovered that designing hair accessories offered the perfect outlet for her artistic vision.
Zapota Hair’s journey began in 2018, rooted in experimental hair projects. With experience in London’s renowned Hatton Garden jewellery district and Paris’s legendary Place Vendôme, Azi deepened her expertise by enrolling in Gemmology and Jewellery studies at the prestigious GIA Institute in 2020.
This marked a new chapter for the brand — one that brought gemstones, particularly Topaz, to the forefront of product development, merging artistry with refined craftsmanship.
